Q: Are gel candles safe?
A: Yes, gel candles are as safe as any other kind of
candle. We use only non-polar scents that are marketed
as gel safe so there won't be any pooling of the fragrance
oils inside the candle. Some companies in the past have
used polar scents which led to the stories about gel
candles exploding.
Q: What is gel?
A: Gel is manufactured from specially processed mineral
oils and gelled hydrocarbons. It has a rubbery texture
that burns at least twice as long as wax and has excellent fragrance
release and longevity. We use only the highest quality
Versagel C from Penreco who holds a patent on the gel.
Q: How long will my candle burn?
A: The average burning time for gel candles is 8-13
hours per ounce of gel. Burn times are affected by a
number of factors including the length of time continuously
burned, wick length, and drafts. We recommend that you
burn your candle in a draft free environment for no
longer than 4 hours at a time with the wick trimmed
to ¼".
Q: How come my gel candle has such a small flame?
A: Gel candles are supposed to have a considerably smaller
flame than wax candles. If your gel candle has a large
flame it means that your wick is too long and it can lead
to smoking. We strongly recommend keeping your wick trimmed
to a quarter inch.
Q: How long will I have to wait to get my candle?
A: Expect to receive your candle within 4-6 weeks.

Q: Can I return my custom order?
A: Custom orders may not be returned. Each candle is unique and are not stocked items. If there is a problem with your order we will do what we can to fix it. We are unable to refund shipping charges. Please contact us if you have any questions.
